What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

Pets

Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.

A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated close to $14 million to the ASPCA and helped support nearly 1,000 pet adoption events, resulting in more than 11,500 adoptions to date.

Environment

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Over a decade ago, Subaru became the first U.S. auto manufacturer to become zero-landfill, and now, in collaboration with the National Park Service and the National Parks Conservation Association, Subaru is leveraging that same environmental expertise to help the National Parks reach zero-landfill too.

It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.

Community

In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

Subaru and Meals on Wheels America worked together to make volunteering easier, by launching a tool called the Meals on Wheels Online Volunteer Drive.

We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.

Love Promise Stories from Webster Groves Subaru

Webster Groves Subaru Loves to Care!  –  Ruth D

Webster Groves Subaru Loves to Care!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Gateway Chapter (LLS) was proud to partner with Webster Groves Subaru to spread love, hope and warmth by delivering 80 blankets and 10 Craft Kits to the patients of St. Louis Children’s Hospital on July 19th. Participating in Wednesday’s presentation were Joe Fichter, Partner, Jay Johnson, Sales Manager and Michelle Coomer, Office Manager, of Webster Groves Subaru; and Ruth DePew and Joe Ruby from LLS Gateway Chapter. Megan Rennie, Child Life Supervisor, led us on a tour of some of the favorite places in the hospital. The first stop was the Sibling Playroom. We handed out blankets to siblings of patients that were at the hospital that day for treatment. Each child thanked us and were excited they got to keep them! I heard one little girl say she would be sure to share it with her sister who was getting medicine. We also visited the Ronald McDonald Room, Child Life Playroom, Teen Lounge, and the beautiful Olson Family Rooftop Garden. Even with the record high temperatures this Garden was a beautiful retreat with fountains, plant assortments, flowering blooms, sculptures and we all took a turn at spectacular views from the telescopes. Webster Groves Subaru also brought an impressive 100 hand written Care Cards “messages of hope” from visitors who shopped with them during the month of June. These well wishes will be shared with patients as blankets are distributed. Providing hope and care one gesture at a time! Thank you Webster Groves Subaru.

Subaru and NWF Loves the Earth  –  Traci J

Subaru and NWF Loves the Earth

Our creation of a new pollinator garden within Keysor's outdoor learning playscape, Project IDEA, occurred during our all school Field Day near the end of the 2017-2018 school year. Each class had an opportunity for students to install native plants within our garden lab spaces, including student grown vegetables, flowering, perennial and annual plantings. Through the grant, two early childhood 1st Grade classes, working in student partnerships, were able to collaborate together to plant our native pollinators within a brand new bed near our outdoor learning pavilion. Thank you so much for this opportunity in promoting native wildlife to our Midwest, suburban locale.

Subaru Supports Zero Waste at Earth Day  –  Cassandra H

Subaru Supports Zero Waste at Earth Day

Subaru has a great reputation for making cars that support healthy and sustainable lifestyles, so when they approached us with an interest in sponsoring the Earth Day Festival, we knew it would be a great fit! Partnering with Subaru and area dealers has shown us how they have earned their reputation. Subaru will be supporting the zero-waste effort at the Earth Day Festival, where we implement numerous strategies, including working with vendors, volunteers and attendees to make sure all possible event waste is diverted from the landfill through reducing, reusing, recycling, and composting. With Subaru's support, St. Louis Earth Day is the most sustainably-produced outdoor festival in the region. The purpose of the Earth Day Festival is to advance sustainability in the region through celebration, education and action. Join us on Sunday April 26, 2015 to learn more about how you can "Share the Love" for the planet, people, and prosperity. www.stlouisearthday.org Thank you Webster Groves Subaru!!
