Subaru is Proud to Support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Subaru and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society teamed up to deliver “Gestures of Hope” to cancer patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. Some of the executives from Subaru of America’s headquarters and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) brought messages of hope and 100 specially made blankets to outpatients at MD Anderson at Cooper. Not only did they want to encourage patients to keep fighting, but they also wanted them to stay warm.

If you’re not familiar with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), they are the largest nonprofit organization devoted to building a world without blood cancers.

“This is such a generous and kind gesture from our friends from Subaru of America, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society,” said Adrienne Kirby, Ph.D., FACHE, Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer at Cooper University Health Care. “The blankets and the notes of encouragement will mean a lot to our patients – just as it does to us. Thank you so much for thinking of us and for your commitment to helping cancer patients.”

Some visitors at Subaru retailers wrote messages of hope for cancer patients as part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative this past summer. More than 150,000 blankets have been donated to cancer patients nationwide – talk about impressive!

As you may know, we here at Webster Groves Subaru also love giving back to the community. If you would like to learn more about some of our future volunteer events, please contact us now!
